Hamdan bin Mohammed honours Union Pledge Day, recalling Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Rashid’s promise to construct one country united underneath a unmarried flag

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Top Minister, Minister of Defence and Chairman of the Government Council of Dubai, recalled the pledge and promise made through the overdue Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, at the side of their fellow Founding Fathers, to construct a unmarried country that unites everybody underneath its banner.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed wrote on his account on social media platform X: “On Union Pledge Day, observed annually on 18 July, we remember the pledge made by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, along with their fellow Founding Fathers, to build one nation united under a single flag. That pledge laid the foundation for a journey that has made our Union the source of our strength, resilience and prosperity. Today, we continue to build on that legacy, guided by the Founding Fathers’ vision, as we build a more prosperous future for generations to come.”
