UAE residents holding foreign travel documents can enter Montenegro on direct flights without a visa under specified conditions
Dubai: Montenegro has announced visa-free entry facilities for certain UAE residents, joining a growing list of destinations offering easier access for travellers from the UAE.
According to Montenegro’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, holders of foreign travel documents who have maintained a valid UAE residence permit for at least three consecutive years are permitted to enter Montenegro on direct flights and stay for up to 10 days.
The ministry said the exemption applies during the period from 1 May to 1 October 2026.
To qualify, travellers must:
Hold a valid foreign travel document (passport)Have maintained a valid UAE residence permit for at least three consecutive yearsTravel to Montenegro on a direct flightPresent confirmation of a tourist programme or bookingComply with the maximum stay period of 10 days
The move adds Montenegro to a list of destinations that provide UAE residents with simplified entry procedures for tourism purposes, either through visa-free entry, visas on arrival or electronic visa systems, subject to specific requirements.
