UAE Welcomes Agreement on Gaza Strip Disarmament, Reaffirms Support for Regional Peace

The United Arab Emirates has received the news of a deal about removing weapons in the Gaza Strip calling it a step in making things less tense and helping to bring back safety and calm in the area.

In a message from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs the country said it backs plans that aim to stop fighting, protect people living there and set up a situation where a term political answer can be found. The ministry mentioned that the deal shows how important it is to talk and use diplomacy when dealing with problems in the region. It also said the United Arab Emirates is still ready to help efforts around the world that try to bring peace and calm.

The UAE stressed that de-escalation remains essential to improving the humanitarian situation in Gaza and facilitating the delivery of urgently needed aid to civilians. It also reiterated its long-standing position that the protection of civilians and compliance with international humanitarian law must remain a priority throughout any peace process.

The ministry welcomed all diplomatic efforts that encourage constructive engagement between the parties involved, noting that sustained dialogue is critical to preventing renewed hostilities. It also underlined the need for coordinated regional and international action to support the implementation of the agreement and strengthen prospects for long-term security.

The UAE reaffirmed its support for a comprehensive and just peace based on the two-state solution, leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state in accordance with relevant international resolutions. Officials said lasting peace can only be achieved through negotiations that address the legitimate aspirations of both Palestinians and Israelis while ensuring regional stability.

The country also highlighted its continued commitment to humanitarian assistance for the Palestinian people. Since the start of the conflict, the UAE has launched multiple relief initiatives, including medical support, food assistance and emergency aid, working with international organisations to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

The latest statement reflects the UAE’s broader foreign policy approach of encouraging diplomatic solutions to regional disputes while supporting initiatives that reduce conflict and foster stability. As international efforts continue, the UAE reiterated its readiness to work with regional and global partners to advance peace, enhance humanitarian relief and contribute to sustainable security across the Middle East.
