Cybersecurity portal attracts more than 1.42 million users since launch, helping residents identify online fraud, phishing scams, deepfakes and cybercrime threats
Dubai: Dubai Police’s e-crime awareness platform has attracted more than 1.42 million visitors since its launch on 12 July 2025, reflecting growing public interest in cybersecurity awareness and online fraud prevention.
According to the E-Crimes and Cybersecurity Department at the General Department of Criminal Investigation, the platform recorded 1,429,154 visitors during its first year of operation.
Dubai Police said the strong engagement highlights the value of the bilingual platform, which provides comprehensive cybercrime awareness content in both Arabic and English.
Supporting a safer digital society
The platform was launched as part of Dubai Police’s efforts to enhance public awareness of cyber threats and strengthen community resilience against cybercrime.
Officials noted that awareness remains the first line of defence against online crime, particularly as the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence continues to expand.
Dubai Police said increasing public understanding of cyber risks is essential to preventing fraudsters and cybercriminals from exploiting individuals and organisations.

The portal also helps users identify common fraud schemes involving online shopping, banking, fake delivery services, job offers, travel packages and romance scams.
In addition, it raises awareness of threats linked to artificial intelligence and digital impersonation.
Reporting and recovery support
A dedicated “Reporting and Recovery” section guides users on how to report cybercrimes, respond to security breaches and restore their cybersecurity after falling victim to fraud or a cyberattack.
Dubai Police said the platform continues to play a key role in promoting cyber awareness and supporting efforts to build a safer and more secure digital environment across the UAE.
