UAE weather: Rain to continue in parts of the country as Dubai, Abu Dhabi reach 45°C

The NCM forecasts more rain over eastern and southern regions, while temperatures remain in the mid-40s across much of the UAE.

Dubai: Rainy weather is set to continue today in parts of the UAE, as temperatures hold steady in the mid-40s.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts fair to partly cloudy weather today, with a probability of some convective cloud formation eastward and southward by afternoon. For residents of Fujairah, and areas like Al Ruwayh near Al Ain, in internal regions, this may mean a chance of rainfall.

Temperatures in the mid-40s

Despite partial cloud cover, temperatures are set to remain in the mid-40s across the country. The NCM forecasts coastal areas and islands to peak between 39°C and 44°C, while internal areas will reach 43°C to 48°C.

Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Umm Al Quwain will see a high of 45°C, while Sharjah and Al Ain will peak at 46°C. Liwa will experience the hottest weather today, at 47°C.

Cool off at the beach

Light to moderate winds may become fresh at times, bringing clouds overhead, according to the NCM. Wind speeds will average 10 to 25km/h today, and reach 35km/h in coastal areas and 40km/h in internal regions.

Sea conditions will remain slight today, so you can expect both the Arabian Sea and the Sea of Oman to feature gentle waves, rising to a maximum of two feet on-shore, and three feet off-shore.

Here is the complete breakdown of minimum and maximum temperatures across the Emirates today:

Maximum Temp (°C) Minimum Temp (°C)

Dubai 45°C 34°C

Abu Dhabi 45°C 32°C

Al Ain 46°C 31°C

Sharjah 46°C 32°C
