The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts fair weather and partly cloudy skies, with a chance of convective cloud formation eastward and westward. This means you can expect rainfall, as well as gusts of wind and cloud cover over parts of Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, heading east into Fujairah.
Temperatures in the high-40s
Although rainfall will bring respite to some regions of the country, the mercury continues to rise. The NCM forecasts coastal areas and islands to peak between 41°C and 47°C, while internal areas will reach 44°C to 49°C. Abu Dhabi and Dubai will see highs of 46°C, while Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah will peak at 47°C. Both Ajman and Fujairah will experience a maximum temperature of 42°C.
Cool off at the beach
Light to moderate winds may become fresh at times, bringing cloud cover, according to the NCM. Wind speeds will average 10 to 25km/h today, and reach 35km/h in coastal areas and 40km/h in internal regions.
If you’d like to cool off at the beach, both the Arabian Sea and the Sea of Oman will see slight conditions today. This means you can expect gentle waves rising to a maximum of two feet on-shore, and three feet off-shore along both eastern and western coastlines of the UAE.
