Abu Dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation across a range of sectors during a telephone call.
The discussions focused on advancing ties between the two countries in a manner that serves their mutual interests.
During the call, His Highness congratulated Burnham on his appointment as Prime Minister, wishing him success in leading the United Kingdom towards further progress and prosperity.
The two leaders expressed their commitment to working together to deepen the longstanding relationship between the UAE and the UK and expand cooperation in ways that support growth and prosperity for both peoples.
Sheikh Mohamed and Burnham also exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest.
