UAE Firmly Rejects Allegations in UN Report, Reaffirms Non-Involvement in Sudan Conflict

The United Arab Emirates has issued a clear and definitive rejection of claims linking it to the ongoing crisis in Sudan, following the release of a findings document by the United Nations Fact-Finding Mission (FFM).

In an official statement released by the UAE Permanent Mission to the UN, the nation reiterated its complete non-involvement in the Sudanese civil strife.

The diplomatic mission underscored that the country engaged openly and constructively with investigators, providing comprehensive written and verbal evidence that was acknowledged within the panel’s documentation.

Emphasizing its stance on transparency, the delegation noted that claims regarding foreign intervention must undergo rigorous, objective, and evidence-based scrutiny rather than relying on unverified claims.

The response highlighted Abu Dhabi’s proactive measures to enforce international compliance and curb illegal activities. UAE authorities recently completed a domestic judicial inquiry into an illicit arms procurement network, transferring 13 individuals and six local commercial entities to the Abu Dhabi Federal Court of Appeal.

The court proceedings involve charges of money laundering, fraud, and illicit arms dealing orchestrated by foreign political figures and intelligence operatives connected to former regime factions.

These domestic actions reflect the country’s robust legal framework designed to prosecute unauthorized private conduct and enforce UN Security Council sanctions, including arms restrictions.

Denouncing widespread abuses carried out by both the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces, the UAE called on international bodies to maintain unyielding evidentiary standards when reviewing conflict-related accusations.

Reaffirming its commitment to regional stability, the country renewed its demand for an immediate, unconditional cessation of hostilities.

UAE diplomats urged all warring factions to establish a secure humanitarian corridor to safeguard civilians and support a transition toward an independent, civilian-led government.
