UAE citizens who want to perform Hajj in 2027 will be able to start registering this year from September 14th. The registration process for the annual Islamic Pilgrimage will take place through the electronic channels of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat.
Applications for the upcoming Hajj season will be open until the 25th September, which means that potential and interested participants will have twelve days to apply.
The move comes as the UAE prepares for the upcoming seasonal Pilgrimage, which sees thousands of citizens head to Saudi Arabia to participate in the annual event. The application process will take place on the General Authority of Islamic Affairs’ smart app and portal.

This way, the process of reviewing and selecting the candidates will be handled electronically.According to the announced schedule, the review of applications is expected to be completed ahead of the selection announcement.
The names of approved UAE pilgrims are scheduled to be announced on October 9, 2026, after which successful applicants will be contacted to complete the required procedures.
The UAE has increasingly relied on digital systems to manage Hajj-related services, with registration and administrative procedures being moved online to make the process more efficient for citizens.
The UAE government’s official guidance states that citizens wishing to perform Hajj must register with the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat and obtain the required pilgrimage permit.
Hajj and Umrah arrangements also involve Saudi authorities, which issue the relevant visas for international pilgrims. The early announcement gives prospective pilgrims time to prepare documents and complete the necessary requirements before the selection stage.
Those selected will subsequently need to follow the authority’s instructions for completing their Hajj arrangements. The 2027 registration schedule is therefore an important date for UAE citizens planning to undertake the pilgrimage, particularly those who want to prepare early and avoid delays once applications open.
With digital registration beginning on September 14 and closing on September 25, applicants are expected to complete their submissions within the specified window and monitor official channels for further instructions.
